His educational credentials include a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Osmania University and both master's and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Prior to joining Granules India, Dr. Rao served as Executive Director & CEO of the CSM business at PI Industries (search). He held leadership roles at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories from 2000 to 2018, and has also worked with Jubilant Life Sciences (search) and Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd (search).
