Final coverage will be set by individual public drug plans under their own review processes and timelines, after funding agreements are finalized with each province and territory.
Blenrep is an antibody-drug conjugate made of a humanized anti-BCMA (搜索) monoclonal antibody conjugated to the cytotoxic agent monomethyl auristatin F (搜索), and is described as the first and only anti-BCMA ADC for multiple myeloma (搜索). Health Canada approved it in July 2025 in two combination regimens: with bortezomib and dexamethasone (BVd) in adults with at least one prior therapy, and with pomalidomide and dexamethasone (BPd) in adults with at least one prior line of therapy including lenalidomide. Multiple myeloma is the third most common blood cancer globally, with more than 180,000 new cases diagnosed each year and 4,300 people diagnosed in Canada in 2025.
