hVIVO PLC (search) (AIM:HVO) has reported a more than doubling of its order book to over £65 million, a milestone that chief executive Mo Khan attributes to the company's transformation into an integrated end-to-end clinical development provider. The update, delivered in a trading statement this week, underscores accelerating commercial momentum following the April launch of the unified hVIVO brand platform.
Khan described the period as "a very significant first half for hVIVO," noting that the company expects first-half 2026 revenue of approximately £16.3 million. The year is anticipated to be second-half weighted, with adjusted EBITDA projected in the negative mid-single digits for the first half before turning positive in the latter half of the year.
Order Book Expansion and Platform Integration
The standout metric in the trading update is the order book, which has climbed from £30 million to more than £65 million. This contracted revenue extends into 2027 and 2028, providing multi-year visibility. Khan attributed the growth to "one of our strongest periods for new contracted sales," driven by the integrated platform that now spans consulting, human challenge trials, laboratory services, and non-human challenge trials.
The addition of Phase I capabilities through the CRS acquisition has broadened the company's service offering, enabling hVIVO to capture additional business from existing customers while attracting new programs. "The integrated platform allows us to provide end-to-end clinical development, from consulting through human challenge trials, laboratory services and non-human challenge trials," Khan said.
Commercial Momentum and Diversification
Inbound requests for proposals have increased by 45% year-on-year, a metric Khan characterized as "an important leading indicator for future contracts." The company is seeing opportunities across multiple therapeutic areas, including human challenge studies, respiratory programs, cardiometabolic diseases, and broader Phase I and Phase II work.

The company has evolved from a specialist human challenge contract research organization into a full-service clinical development provider operating across four distinct service lines: human challenge trials, laboratory services, consulting, and broader clinical trials encompassing non-human challenge studies. Khan emphasized that this broader offering "makes the company more robust and resilient than before."
Looking ahead, hVIVO expects a significant increase in revenue in the second half compared with the first half, supported by the £65 million order book. The company has the facilities and resources in place to execute these contracts and is actively working to convert additional awards into signed agreements. Management expects to remain broadly in line with full-year guidance.
