Kind Pharmaceutical (search)'s AND017, a first-in-class hemoglobin elevating agent (HbEA), is set to be presented at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week 2024 in San Diego. The late-breaking abstract highlights the Phase 2 clinical trial results of AND017 in treating anemia (search) in dialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease (search) (DD-CKD).
The presentation will cover the efficacy and safety of AND017 in DD-CKD patients. AND017 targets multiple stages of the red blood cell (RBC) life cycle and is being developed to treat anemia (search) associated with various disorders, including DD-CKD, non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease (search) (NDD-CKD), cancer-related anemia (CRA), myelodysplastic syndromes (search) (MDS) anemia, sickle cell disease (search) (SCD), and β-thalassemia (search).
