The findings, published in Hepatology, highlight the potential of Rezdiffra, the first FDA-approved medication for NASH, to address the disease's impact on patients' emotional well-being.
Impact on Patient-Reported Outcomes
The MAESTRO-NASH (search) trial evaluated changes in HRQL scores in patients receiving Rezdiffra versus placebo. By weeks 24 and 52, patients on Rezdiffra experienced notable improvements in the Worry domain of the Chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire-NASH. At week 52, patients who achieved fibrosis (search) improvement or NASH resolution showed improvements in Worry, Health Distress, and Stigma domains. Zobair M. Tolerability Profile

Rezdiffra is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed thyroid hormone receptor (THR)-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of NASH (search).
