The Affera system is designed to treat both persistent atrial fibrillation (search) and cavotricuspid isthmus-dependent atrial flutter (search). Atrial flutter, the most common macro-reentrant atrial tachycardia, can lead to thromboembolic events and heart failure if left untreated. The Affera system provides radiofrequency ablation of cavotricuspid isthmus dependent atrial flutter, addressing this critical need.
