This system has already been implanted in over 2,200 patients, demonstrating its potential to improve outcomes for a significant number of individuals with congenital heart defects.

Addressing a Critical Need
Congenital heart disease (search) (CHD) is a prevalent birth defect in Europe, affecting approximately 40,000 infants annually and impacting the lives of 2.3 million adults. A significant proportion of these patients, about one in five, have structural malformations affecting the RVOT. While open-heart surgery has been the standard of care, many patients require pulmonary valve replacement later in life, often necessitating additional open-heart procedures. The Harmony TPV system offers a less invasive alternative that can potentially reduce the burden of multiple surgeries.

The device is expected to be commercially available across Europe later this month.
