MindRank Signs 3SBio Subsidiaries to Commercialize AI-Designed Oral GLP-1 MDR-001 in China

The collaboration covers mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, with a total potential transaction value of up to RMB 1.75 billion (USD 260 million). Mandi and Wansheng will provide exclusive commercialization services for MDR-001 across all channels following regulatory approval and launch.
MindRank will remain the Marketing Authorization Holder and retain all rights to the product's intellectual property. The company will continue to advance clinical development, registration, manufacturing and supply of MDR-001. Under the terms, MindRank receives RMB 150 million (approximately USD 22.4 million) upfront plus milestone payments tied to clinical development, regulatory approval and commercialization, and is eligible for up to RMB 1.6 billion (approximately USD 238.8 million) in additional milestone payments upon achievement of agreed conditions.
Phase III MOBILE Trial and Phase IIb Data
MDR-001 is being evaluated in the Phase III MOBILE trial, which enrolled its first patient in February 2026. In Phase IIb testing, mean body weight reductions after 24 weeks ranged from 8.2% to 10.3% in MDR-001 cohorts, and between 34.5% and 48.1% of participants achieved at least 10% weight loss.
MindRank reported that MDR-001 avoided the safety problems that scuttled Pfizer's oral GLP-1 program, with no evidence of transaminase elevation, including among the roughly 20% of participants with pre-existing liver impairment. The company also reported good tolerability, no heart rate increase and only 0.8% discontinuations, alongside improvements in key cardiometabolic markers such as blood pressure and lipid profiles.
