Sumagen (search)'s SAV001 is a genetically modified, whole-killed HIV vaccine (search). It has already demonstrated a favorable safety profile in Phase I trials, showing tolerance and safety in human subjects. This provides a solid foundation for further clinical development.
Advancing to Clinical Trials
This milestone enables Naobios (search) to proceed with scaling up the production of the HIV-1 (search) vaccine (search), followed by cGMP production. The goal is to initiate Phase I/II clinical trials by the end of 2025.
