Oncodesign Precision Medicine and Navigo Proteins Terminate Radiotheranostics Collaboration
核心洞察
Oncodesign Precision Medicine (搜索) and Navigo Proteins have mutually agreed to end their collaboration agreement signed in May 2024, which aimed to develop radiotheranostic agents for resistant and metastatic cancers (搜索).
The termination follows a standard prioritization process in advanced research programs, with both companies citing challenges encountered with the first targets selected within the program timelines.
OPM continues advancing its COMETE program for digestive cancers (搜索) and maintains three technology platforms including Nanocyclix®, OncoSNIPER, and PROMETHE®.
Oncodesign Precision Medicine (搜索) (OPM) and Navigo Proteins GmbH (搜索) have jointly announced the termination of their collaboration agreement, originally signed in May 2024, aimed at developing radiotheranostic agents for resistant and metastatic cancers (搜索). The decision represents a mutual agreement based on both parties' commitment to scientific excellence and resource optimization.
The partnership was designed to combine the companies' tumor targeting and identification technologies to discover and develop more precise and effective radiotheranostic agents against resistant and metastatic cancers (搜索). However, the collaboration faced challenges with the first targets selected, failing to demonstrate the expected potential within the program timelines.
Strategic Refocus and Continuing Programs
Despite ending this specific partnership, OPM continues to advance its innovation strategy in precision medicine through three core technology platforms. The Nanocyclix® platform focuses on designing and selecting next-generation kinase (搜索) inhibitors, while OncoSNIPER utilizes artificial intelligence for therapeutic target selection. The PROMETHE® platform specializes in designing and selecting radiolabeled biological molecules for systemic radiotherapy.
The COMETE program (moleCular radiOtherapy for METastatic Colorectal and gastric cancErs) remains a priority initiative for OPM. This project, conducted in collaboration with the cancer center (CGFL) and the Institute of Molecular Chemistry at the University of Burgundy (ICMUB, UMR CNRS 6302), all based in Dijon, aims to develop radiotheranostic candidates through preclinical dosimetry studies. OPM plans to evaluate other promising vectorization technologies while advancing new target selection work.
Clinical Pipeline Progress
OPM currently has two kinase (搜索) inhibitors in clinical development. OPM-101, intended for treating chronic immuno-inflammatory digestive diseases and immuno-oncology applications, demonstrated a significant therapeutic margin and absence of toxicity in its Phase I trial with healthy volunteers. The protocol for the Phase 1b/2a oncology trial was submitted in March 2025 and accepted in September 2025.
OPM-201, initially licensed to Servier for Parkinson's disease (搜索) treatment, completed its Phase I trial in healthy volunteers at the end of 2024 and has been reintegrated into OPM's portfolio. Both molecules originate from the Nanocyclix® technology platform, which enables the design and selection of small, highly effective and selective macrocyclic kinase (搜索) inhibitors. The company's library now contains 12,000 molecules, with AI being utilized to accelerate drug candidate discovery while reducing costs.
Future Directions
Navigo Proteins will continue its initiated program based on Affilin® and HEAD® platform technologies, incorporating AI-assisted de-novo protein design to address gastric cancers. The company maintains a strong focus on an accelerated pathway into early testing in human patients.
Philippe Genne, CEO of Oncodesign Precision Medicine (搜索), commented: "We would like to warmly thank the Navigo team for the quality of the work accomplished. This collaboration has enabled us to explore relevant Affilin® leads, even if our collaboration has not demonstrated the expected potential within the program timelines due to the challenges encountered with the first targets selected."
Henning Afflerbach, CEO of Navigo Proteins GmbH (搜索), added: "We have enjoyed working with OPM and maintain a strong mutual appreciation for their core expertise. While further strengthening our commitment to develop innovative radiotheranostics from discovery into the clinic for the benefit of human patients, we wish our partner OPM all the best for the future and remain open to discussions when new opportunities arise."
OPM, founded in 2022 and based in Dijon, employs 14 people and maintains partnerships including one with Servier for pancreatic cancer (搜索) target discovery through the OncoSNIPER platform.
