Novel Radiopharmaceutical Approach
The company's lead product candidate, Radspherin®, represents an innovative internal radiation therapy designed to directly target microscopic metastases in the abdominal cavity following surgery. The therapy utilizes radium-224, an alpha-emitting radionuclide, to harness the benefits of modern radiopharmaceuticals without the complexities of biological targeting.
Radspherin® offers several differentiating features, including single-dose treatment with sustained therapeutic effect, non-systemic administration, direct targeting, and an exceptional dose-to-tumor ratio that maximizes efficacy while limiting harm to healthy tissue. The therapy is being developed as a post-surgical treatment for patients with cancer that has spread to the abdominal cavity, addressing a patient population with very limited treatment options.
Clinical Development Progress
Oncoinvent has made significant progress in its clinical development program across two indications. The company has completed one Phase 1 trial and one Phase 1/2a trial, with early clinical efficacy data described as "highly encouraging." Importantly, no serious toxicity or safety concerns have been reported to date across these completed studies.
Currently, the company is conducting a randomized Phase 2 trial in ovarian cancer, which is ongoing in both the United States and Europe. This represents a critical advancement in the clinical validation of Radspherin's therapeutic potential in a specific cancer indication.
Rights Issue Structure
Under the rights issue terms, existing shareholders as of November 11, 2025, have been granted 1.65984504401679 subscription rights for each existing share held, rounded down to the nearest whole subscription right. Each subscription right entitles the holder to subscribe for one offer share at the subscription price of NOK 0.50.
The subscription rights are tradable on the Oslo Stock Exchange under ticker code "ONCIT" from November 17 until November 25, 2025. A consortium of underwriters, comprising certain large shareholders and external underwriters, have undertaken to underwrite the entire NOK 130 million rights issue on a pro-rata basis.
Manufacturing Capabilities
Oncoinvent operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nydalen, Oslo, specifically designed to produce drug products for clinical trials. This in-house manufacturing capability provides the company with greater control over its supply chain and production processes for its radiopharmaceutical therapies.
The payment date for the rights issue is scheduled for December 8, 2025, with the issuance and delivery of offer shares expected to be completed on or about December 10, 2025. The new shares are expected to commence trading on the Oslo Stock Exchange around the same date, subject to required approvals and conditions.
