Outcomes4Me Acquires AI-Powered Platforms to Enhance Cancer Patient Access to Clinical Trials
核心洞察
Outcomes4Me (搜索) completed acquisitions of Geno.Me (搜索) and Realyze Intelligence (搜索) to strengthen its AI-driven cancer care platform serving over 400,000 patients.
The acquisitions integrate patient-controlled health data access through EHR systems and AI-powered clinical trial matching capabilities developed at UPMC.
UPMC Hillman Cancer Center (搜索) CIO Scot Stevens joins as Strategic Advisor to support integration of the platforms into patient-facing workflows.
Outcomes4Me (搜索) Inc., a leading direct-to-patient health technology company, has completed strategic acquisitions of two AI-powered platforms designed to revolutionize cancer patient access to clinical trials and personalized treatment options. The Boston-based company announced the acquisitions of Geno.Me (搜索) and Realyze Intelligence (搜索), marking a significant expansion of its capabilities in AI-driven cancer care delivery.
Strategic Platform Integrations
Milwaukee-based Geno.Me (搜索) bridges the gap between patient data and researchers through integrations with major electronic health record systems including Epic (搜索), Cerner (搜索), and Meditech (搜索). The platform enables patients to immediately access their health data and share it securely for research or clinical purposes, addressing what founder Britt Gottschalk identified as "the lack of diversity and representation in clinical research."
Realyze Intelligence (搜索), initially developed at UPMC with input from several NCI-Accredited Cancer Centers, uses artificial intelligence to abstract data from medical records into structured, oncology-specific clinical data models. The platform can identify relevant clinical trial cohorts in seconds, addressing persistent challenges in clinical trial recruitment and patient matching.
"The intersection of clinical research and direct patient care has long been both a technological priority and a challenge," said Scot Stevens, Chief Information Officer at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center (搜索), who joins Outcomes4Me (搜索) as Strategic Advisor. "I am optimistic that AI-powered clinical trial matching can close the gap between patients and potentially life-changing research opportunities."
Enhanced Patient Empowerment Capabilities
The acquisitions strengthen Outcomes4Me (搜索)'s position as the first direct-to-patient platform integrated with the NCCN (搜索) Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology, a relationship established in 2019. The company currently supports more than 400,000 cancer patients through its platform, which integrates oncology guidelines, genomics data, symptom tracking, and treatment information without fees or gatekeepers.
"Together, Geno.Me (搜索) and Realyze Intelligence (搜索)'s unique ability to enable immediate medical records access and abstraction that aligns with our structured clinical data models, along with rapid clinical trial matching, supercharges our ability to support patients living with cancer," said Maya R. Said, Sc.D., Founder and CEO of Outcomes4Me (搜索).
Addressing Clinical Trial Access Challenges
Clinical trial recruitment and patient matching remain significant operational challenges across oncology research, particularly as trial inclusion criteria become increasingly specialized and data-intensive. Realyze Intelligence (搜索) was specifically created to address what co-founder Gilan El Saadawi, MD, PhD, describes as "one of the most significant gaps in clinical research: patients are often unaware of relevant clinical trial opportunities, while trial sponsors struggle to identify patient populations that meet increasingly complex inclusion and exclusion criteria."
The platform fundamentally reimagines clinical trial matching at scale by embedding it directly into clinical workflows, accelerating research while reducing costs and improving patient outcomes. The technology has been developed with firsthand experience from Stevens, who worked closely with Realyze Intelligence (搜索) during its early development stages at UPMC.
Commercial Impact and Industry Recognition
Outcomes4Me (搜索)'s commercial partnerships currently include seven of the world's 10 largest oncology pharmaceutical companies. The company was named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2025 and recognized as a Fast Company World Changing Idea, reflecting its impact on cancer care delivery.
The acquisitions reflect continued consolidation and investment activity within digital oncology and precision medicine platforms as healthcare companies pursue more integrated approaches to clinical data management, patient engagement, and AI-assisted care navigation. Said emphasized that the combined technologies will deepen the company's ability to help commercial partners with both clinical trial recruitment and better understanding of the patient experience through access to real-world evidence.
With these strategic additions, Outcomes4Me (搜索) aims to build the most comprehensive direct-to-patient cancer care platform globally, providing every patient access to cutting-edge guidance, clinical trials, and personalized support previously available only to select populations.
