Sandoz Reshuffles Leadership: Bouye to Head Generics Manufacturing, Haruvi Adds Global M&A Oversight

Sandoz, the global leader in affordable medicines, today announced a series of key leadership changes designed to strengthen the company's strategic positioning as it pursues what CEO Richard Saynor describes as a "golden decade" of market opportunities. The appointments span generics manufacturing, global M&A, and country-level leadership in Germany.
Pascal Bouye has been appointed President, Generics Manufacturing & Supply, and will join the Sandoz Executive Committee (SEC), effective August 20. He succeeds Glenn Gerecke, who will step down from the SEC and assume a new role within the company. Bouye brings over 30 years of experience building and transforming global supply chains in highly regulated segments of the fast-moving consumer goods industry, having previously held senior roles at Danone and Mars. His expertise in leading global teams through complex operational transformations positions him to drive further efficiency and scale in Sandoz's high-volume generics business.
In a parallel move, Keren Haruvi, currently President of North America, will assume overall responsibility for global M&A activities at Sandoz, effective August 1, while continuing in her existing role. Haruvi's background includes serving as Global Head of M&A at Novartis, where she led major strategic transactions and portfolio-shaping initiatives. Sandoz stated that her combined commercial leadership and cross-industry M&A expertise will be instrumental in shaping the company's strategic direction.
Simon Goeller, currently Global Head of Transformation & Growth and a member of the Extended Leadership Team, has been appointed Country President for Germany—Sandoz's second-largest market worldwide. Thomas Weigold, the current Country President for Germany, will transition to Head of Central Cluster, Europe. Additionally, Max Juerging, currently Global Head of Transformation, Integration & Separation, will lead the Transformation & Growth team on an ad interim basis while recruitment proceeds for Goeller's successor. These appointments also take effect August 1.

Sandoz, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, employs more than 20,000 people across 100 nationalities and reaches approximately one billion patients annually. The company's portfolio of roughly 1,300 products spans diseases from the common cold to cancer. In 2025, Sandoz recorded net sales of USD 11.1 billion. The year 2026 marks 20 years of pioneering biosimilars, 80 years of antibiotics manufacturing, and 140 years of heritage for the company.
