Sanyou Bio and Baiyunshan Xihe Forge Strategic Alliance to Accelerate AI-Driven Radiopharmaceutical Development
核心洞察
Sanyou Bio and Baiyunshan Xihe signed a strategic agreement to co-develop novel radiopharmaceuticals and radiodiagnostic products for precision oncology.
The partnership integrates Sanyou's AI-driven antibody discovery platform (AI-STAL, with over 11 trillion library capacity) with Baiyunshan Xihe's nuclear medicine value chain.
Baiyunshan Xihe brings standardized production technologies for medical radionuclides including Gallium-68 (搜索), Zirconium-89 (搜索), Copper-64 (搜索), and Rhenium-186 (搜索).
SHANGHAI and GUANGZHOU, China — Sanyou Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (搜索) and Guangzhou Baiyunshan Xihe Health Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (搜索) jointly announced on July 4, 2026, the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement focused on the co-development of novel radiopharmaceuticals and radiodiagnostic products. The partnership aims to integrate their respective core strengths in AI-driven innovative drug molecule discovery and the full industrial value chain of nuclear medicine, building an end-to-end innovation chain spanning from target molecule discovery to clinical translation for precision oncology diagnosis and therapy.
The collaboration addresses the extremely high demands that radiopharmaceutical and radiodiagnostic product development places on the precision, stability, and druggability of targeting molecules. Both parties emphasized that the partnership is grounded in deep insight into nuclear medicine industry trends and strong mutual recognition of each other's technological capabilities.
Platform Integration and Capabilities
Under the agreement, Sanyou Bio will leverage its globally leading AI-Super trillion antibody/molecule libraries (AI-STAL) and its Sanyou AI-Drug Accelerator (SAI-DA) to provide source innovation power for the discovery and optimization of high-performance antibodies and targeting molecules against specific targets. Baiyunshan Xihe will contribute its end-to-end capabilities in novel medical radionuclide production, GMP manufacturing, and clinical translation to advance partnered molecules into radiolabeling, in vitro and in vivo evaluation, and preclinical studies.
Liu Hong, Chairman and General Manager of Baiyunshan Xihe, highlighted the complementary nature of the alliance: "As a leading enterprise in Guangzhou's nuclear medicine industry chain, Baiyunshan Xihe has established a fully integrated value chain from radionuclide production to clinical services, and has developed a dual-track product portfolio featuring both self-developed nanobody-based RDCs and mature microsphere products. Sanyou Bio's AI-STAL platform for upstream drug discovery is globally leading, with a library capacity exceeding 11 trillion and outstanding screening capabilities."
Three Pillars of Strategic Value
The partnership is structured around three core dimensions of integration. First, the collaboration will establish an integrated R&D model described as "AI-driven molecular discovery – radionuclide labeling – clinical translation," designed to seamlessly connect upstream molecular discovery capabilities with the radiopharmaceutical industrialization platform and significantly shorten development timelines from target concept to candidate compounds.
Second, the parties will jointly develop a differentiated product portfolio of internationally competitive theranostic radiopharmaceuticals and novel radiodiagnostic products. This effort will combine Sanyou Bio's AI-driven molecular discovery strengths with Baiyunshan Xihe's standardized production technologies for key medical radionuclides, including Gallium-68 (搜索), Zirconium-89 (搜索), Copper-64 (搜索), and Rhenium-186 (搜索).
Third, both companies will integrate their deep resources in innovative drug R&D services and the nuclear medicine industry chain to jointly explore open and mutually beneficial collaboration models, aiming to enhance China's upstream innovation capabilities in radiopharmaceuticals and promote high-quality industry development.
Leadership Perspectives
Dr. Lang Guojun, Founder and CEO of Sanyou Bio, framed the collaboration as a strategic extension of the company's mission: "This collaboration with Baiyunshan Xihe represents an important extension of Sanyou Bio's mission — 'To make it easy to develop new drugs worldwide' — into the cutting-edge field of nuclear medicine." He further noted that Baiyunshan Xihe, backed by the industrial resources of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings, has built solid capabilities in radionuclide production and full value-chain integration.
Dr. Lang added: "We believe that, through the dual engines of 'intelligent molecular design' and 'precise radionuclide labeling,' we can provide truly fundamental solutions to upstream innovation challenges in nuclear medicine, jointly empowering the technological upgrade of the global nuclear medicine industry."
