Dimerix (search) Limited (ASX: DXB) has announced the successful completion of the fifth planned review by the Independent Data Monitoring Committee (IDMC) of its ACTION3 (search) Phase 3 clinical trial. The trial is evaluating DMX-200, a late-stage clinical asset, for the treatment of Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (search) (FSGS (search)), a rare kidney disease. The IDMC's review found no safety concerns and recommended that the trial continue as planned.
The IDMC's role is to assess study data for participant safety, study conduct, and progress, and to advise on continuation, modification, or termination of the trial. This review is consistent with good clinical practice and was pre-specified in the ACTION3 (search) study protocol.
