Trialbee Launches AI Pre-Screening Agent in Honey Platform to Speed Trial Enrollment
核心洞察
Trialbee (搜索) launched an AI Pre-Screening Agent within its Honey Platform, letting patients complete secondary screening conversationally or by requesting a nurse call.
The agent engages patients at their highest moment of interest, aiming to reduce dropped handoffs and deliver consistent, high-quality pre-qualification referrals to sites faster.
Trialbee (搜索) will present the AI screening capability alongside Takeda at DPHARM 2026 in Boston, detailing integration of Takeda WeConnect (搜索) and Trialbee Honey (搜索).
Trialbee (搜索) has launched an AI Pre-Screening Agent within its Honey Platform™, a conversational tool that allows patients considering a clinical trial to complete secondary screening immediately or instead request a call with an experienced nurse. The Malmö, Sweden- and Wilmington, Delaware-based patient recruitment company announced the release on September 15, 2026, positioning it as the latest step in its Applied AI Recruitment roadmap.
The agent is designed to engage patients at what Trialbee (搜索) describes as the highest moment of interest — while they are actively considering a study and ready to take the next step. Honey's flexibility lets patients choose either an AI-driven assessment or a nurse call, a design intended to reduce delay and prevent dropped handoffs. Regardless of the path chosen, Trialbee says sites receive the same consistent, high-quality pre-qualification, which the company states reduces site burden, enables faster follow-up, and increases the likelihood of consent and enrollment.
Choice in Secondary Screening
Trialbee (搜索) notes that many patients engage with clinical trial websites outside traditional business hours and should be able to act the moment they are ready. The AI Pre-Screening Agent provides an immediate way to ask questions and complete secondary screening while preserving the option to schedule a call with a Trialbee nurse. Sponsors and sites benefit from receiving high-quality referrals faster, and patients remain in control of how they proceed.
"Trialbee (搜索) is committed to leading global patient recruitment into the next era by embedding AI with the clear purpose of making it easier for patients to connect with clinical trials faster," said Matt Walz, CEO of Trialbee. "Our conversational AI Pre-Screening Agent is the latest example of technology built in-house and informed by decades of hands-on recruitment expertise to solve a real enrollment bottleneck."
Supporting Informed Participation Decisions
Beyond screening, the agent is intended to help patients better understand a study and judge whether participation may be right for them. It provides immediate answers to general questions about clinical research as well as practical, study-specific questions covering site locations, visit requirements, participation expectations, and next steps.
Takeda Collaboration at DPHARM 2026
The launch follows Trialbee (搜索)'s announcement that it will present alongside Takeda at DPHARM 2026, held September 15–16 in Boston, where it will unveil AI patient screening in the Honey Platform as the next release on its Applied AI Recruitment roadmap. Trialbee will also participate in a panel on AI technology for clinical sites during the Partnerships with Sites pre-conference session.
On Tuesday, September 15 at 3:35pm, Amanda Decoker, Head of Patient Engagement, Experience and Retention at Takeda, will join Michael Rosenberg, Senior Director of Business Development at Trialbee (搜索), for a session titled "Ready to Enroll: Integrating Takeda WeConnect (搜索)™ and Trialbee Honey (搜索)™ to Turn Recruitment Investments into a Research-Ready Patient Community."
The session will explore how active recruitment campaigns can do more than fill a single trial. By connecting Takeda WeConnect (搜索) and Trialbee Honey (搜索), recruitment activity can help build a longitudinal patient community that carries forward from one study to the next. The discussion will examine how unifying data from multiple channels can create a more connected, research-ready community and help sponsors extract more lasting value from their recruitment investment.
The native AI screening chatbot brings conversational AI directly into the patient recruitment experience. Trialbee (搜索) says the capability was built by recruitment experts with decades of experience and is designed to make screening more immediate and engaging while giving patients greater choice in how they participate — through an AI-powered conversation or with a live recruitment specialist.
