TRIMTECH's approach is founded on decades of pioneering academic research into the protein TRIM21 (搜索), a novel E3-ligase. The company has developed two proprietary degrader platforms — TRIMTAC and TRIMGLUE — designed to selectively target and degrade toxic protein aggregates and oligomers implicated in neurodegenerative diseases. Critically, these degraders leave the functional monomeric forms of the target proteins intact, thereby supporting healthy cellular function while eliminating pathogenic species.
This mechanism of action represents a potentially transformative approach for indications affecting very large patient populations.
