"I did watch them all, by the way," Oz said of his predecessors at the briefing podium. "I'm a doctor. I try and do my homework. I prepped for the case."

When pressed by reporters on topics including President Trump's appointment of Bill Pulte as acting director of national intelligence, Oz responded, "Ma'am, you're asking me a question that's out of my lane." After multiple attempts by journalists to seek answers on the nomination, Oz ultimately stated, "I don't know anything more about Bill Pulte than you do. I did not think that the questions would even come up here. I hadn't even heard the news when I walked out."
Oz was also questioned about President Trump having undergone four publicly disclosed health screenings since returning to the White House. He offered praise for the president, who turns 80 this month, stating, "That amount of energy, and that amount of mental acuity does not exist in a vacuum. You have to have a vessel to carry it."
