This appointment aims to streamline access and support for patients with Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (search) and processing-deficient Progeroid Laminopathies (search), who rely on this critical medication.
ZOKINVY, a farnesyltransferase inhibitor, is approved by the FDA for patients aged 12 months and older with a body surface area of 0.39 m2 and above. Its indications include reducing the risk of mortality in Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (search) and treating processing-deficient Progeroid Laminopathies (search) with specific genetic mutations. These mutations include Heterozygous LMNA (search) mutation with progerin-like protein accumulation, or homozygous or compound heterozygous ZMPSTE24 (search) mutations.
