Anti-tTG and anti-EMA antibodies in celiac disease patients were associated with fibromyalgia incidence. The study found no significant relationship between clinical types of celiac disease or biopsy pathology and fibromyalgia. However, patients with these antibodies more frequently met fibromyalgia criteria. The study suggests that gluten-induced autoimmune inflammation may lead to central nervous system sensitivity, contributing to fibromyalgia symptoms.
