- AbbVie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG is conducting two separate first-in-human Phase 1 studies evaluating ABBV-525, a MALT1 inhibitor, and ABBV-101, a BTK degrader, for relapsed/refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. - ABBV-525 targets the MALT1 protein that helps cancer cells survive and grow, while ABBV-101 represents a novel BTK degrader approach that removes BTK proteins rather than simply inhibiting them. - The ABBV-525 study will enroll approximately 150 participants worldwide over 64 months, while the ABBV-101 study will include approximately 188 patients over 60 months. - Both oral therapies aim to address unmet medical needs for patients whose B-cell malignancies have relapsed or become refractory to current treatments.
