University of Central Lancashire's Clinical Trials Unit Achieves Full Registration Status

• The Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) has been granted full registration status by the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC). • This recognition positions the Lancashire CTU as the second fully registered unit in the North West Coast region and one of 49 nationally. • The CTU has contributed to significant trials, including the STIMULATE-ICP Study for long-COVID and the COMMITS trial for stroke recovery. • Professor Chris Sutton will rejoin the CTU in 2025 to enhance its capabilities, particularly in mental health trials and inclusivity research.
