Attachment promoting compounds significantly enhance cell proliferation and purity of ...

Attachment promoting compounds (APCs) like vitronectin and laminin significantly enhance bovine satellite cell (bSC) proliferation and purity on microcarriers (MCs) in serum-free media. Cytodex 1, Synthemax II, and CellBIND MCs supported bSC growth, with Cytodex 1 showing the best results. Laminin allowed bSC attachment and growth on previously unsuccessful Plastic MCs. Vitronectin optimized for sustainability can be used solely as a coating on Cytodex 1 MCs, enhancing cell attachment and proliferation.
