- JAK1 inhibitors demonstrated superior antipruritic efficacy compared to IL-13 antibodies in 75 patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis, with 100% of JAK1-treated patients showing improvement in pruritus scores versus 60% in the IL-13 group. - Patients receiving JAK1 inhibitors were 9 times more likely to achieve clinically meaningful pruritus reduction and 34 times more likely to reach near-complete itch relief compared to those treated with IL-13 antibodies. - Both treatment classes showed similar safety profiles with comparable adverse event rates, though JAK1 inhibitors were associated with faster early responses while biologics provided greater long-term improvements. - The findings represent the first direct comparison of selective JAK1 inhibitors and IL-13 antibodies using pathway-specific biomarkers, offering insights for personalized atopic dermatitis treatment strategies.
