Takeda Partners with Asian Hospital to Expand Access to Rare Disease Treatments in Philippines

- Takeda Healthcare Philippines signed a memorandum of understanding with Asian Hospital and Medical Center to broaden patient access to innovative medicines for rare blood cancers and gastrointestinal conditions. - The partnership will provide cost-sharing financial assistance for patients with Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and inflammatory bowel disease through Takeda's patient assistance programs. - The collaboration addresses significant healthcare gaps in the Philippines, where Hodgkin lymphoma ranked 23rd among diagnosed cancers with 602 new cases in 2022 and multiple myeloma ranked 21st with 931 cases. - This initiative is part of Takeda's global Access to Medicines program, which aims to ensure that 2 billion people in low- and middle-income countries gain better access to essential medicines.
