Western Australia Launches $2 Million Cardiovascular Research Fellowship Partnership

- The Cook Labor Government and the Heart Foundation have committed $2 million to a new cardiovascular research fellowship program in Western Australia. - The partnership aims to attract, develop, and retain early and mid-career researchers focused on improving prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. - Applications for the fellowship program close on 13 August 2026, with researchers expected to advance understanding of cardiovascular disease and improve health outcomes. - The initiative is part of the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund and is the first fellowship announced under the new FHRI Fund Strategy.
