- BBOT published preclinical data in Science demonstrating that BBO-10203, a first-in-class oral inhibitor, effectively blocks RAS-PI3Kα interaction without inducing hyperglycemia across multiple tumor types. - The compound showed significant tumor growth inhibition in preclinical models and enhanced efficacy when combined with targeted therapies including CDK4/6 inhibitors and HER2 inhibitors. - BBO-10203 is currently being evaluated in the Phase 1 BREAKER-101 study for patients with HER2+ breast cancer, HR+/HER2- breast cancer, KRAS mutant colorectal cancer, and KRAS mutant non-small cell lung cancer.
- Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) researchers have discovered subetadex, a potential new treatment to counteract fentanyl and related opioid overdoses. - Subetadex has a longer half-life (7.5 hours) than naloxone and encapsulates the opioid, preventing it from binding to opioid receptors in the body. - In vivo studies showed that subetadex significantly reduced recovery times in models exposed to sub-lethal doses of fentanyl, carfentanil and remifentanil. - LLNL scientists are planning to increase the half-life of subetadex for prophylactic use and broaden its range as a treatment against more opioids.
