•1] Children aged 6-11 years with an acute on chronic onset [Intermittent or persistant
•bronchial Asthma as per GINA sevearity classification21], irrespective of Gender and
•Socio-economic status.
•2]Children whose parents are willing to give consent and children’s assent.

•1]Children with acute / Severe complicated bronchial asthma and status Asthmaticus with any one of SPO2 less than 92, cyanosis needing immediate intervention were excluded.
•2]Children with Congenital lung or cardiac anomalies.
•3]Children with known case of other chronic respiratory conditions like pulmonary tuberculosis, COPD, lung abscess, bronchiectasis.
