简要总结
In athletes strength and power are the two major components needed on the field for the best performance. Athletes are very prone to knee injuries. A number of factors are related to non-contact injuries, including age, gender, body morphology, muscle strength, flexibility, and joint stability and alignment. The pelvis may be the most crucial structure for efficient, pain-free function of walking and running. Another important aspect is knee alignment. And a stiff, out-of-alignment leg can both cause and perpetuate nearly every leg injury. Explosive power is the ability to produce a maximum amount of force in a very short period of time, which is very important for athletes because of its direct influence on their performance.
The injuries in athletes impact their careers deeply. It takes them away from sports temporarily or, in some cases, permanently. This eventually affects them psychologically and socially. Thus it becomes all the more important to prevent injuries through improving the knowledge about the influencing factors. The knowledge gained by this can be utilised to prevent the injuries and to effectively train the athletes for their explosive power.
Thus, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of pelvic and knee alignment on explosive power in amateur athletes.
