简要总结

Title Quantifying the Change in Temperature and Cardiopulmonary Parameters in Warm-up Protocol

A warm-up (WU) routine is essential in training and competition to enhance physical readiness and performance. It prepares the body and mind by increasing metabolism, muscle temperature, heart rate, and blood flow, thereby improving muscle suppleness, joint mobility, and neurological functions such as nerve conduction and motor unit recruitment. Dynamic warm-ups (DWU), involving rhythmic movements like cycling, help reduce muscle stiffness and enhance range of motion. An effective warm-up lasts 10–15 minutes, gradually increasing intensity from 50% to 90% of maximum heart rate. However, excessive duration or intensity can cause fatigue, reducing performance benefits. Optimal muscle temperature (~39°C) is crucial for performance, but delays of 6–12 minutes post-warm-up can reverse physiological gains, leaving athletes underprepared. Different WU protocols like foam rolling, massage, and treadmill use have shown beneficial effects. This study aims to quantify temperature and cardiopulmonary changes during warm-up and assess their carryover effects to optimize athletic performance and reduce injury risk.
