简要总结
Aligners were introduced as they are more esthetic as compared to the conventional fixed appliances and they are better in terms of oral hygiene maintenance. However, plaque accumulation is still observed in aligners.
This study is being done to assess if plaque retention is more in a certain group of aligners.
It is also being done with the intention to identify the retentive bacteria in aligners.

入选标准
- •1.Patients undergoing aligner treatment 2.Patients above 12 years of age 3.Patients of either gender 4.Patients with good oral hygiene (with a score of 0-1.2 as per OHI-S) 5.Retention of plaque (as per plaque index).
排除标准
- •1.Patients undergoing fixed mechanotherapy 2.Patients with syndromes 3.Patients on medications that cause xerostomia 4.Patients with broken and missing aligners.
