- •American society of anaesthesiologist physical status 1 and 2
- •Educational background and mental status sufficient to be able to fill out the scales intended for assessment

- •Cardiac and renal dysfunction
- •psychiatric and neurological disorders
- •neuromuscular disorders
- •known allergy to magnesium compounds
- •patients on calcium channel blockers
- •profound pre-operative hypotension
