入选标准
- •Male blood donors in the age group of 18-30 years and 45-65 years and meeting all other criteria for whole blood donation as per guidelines laid by Drug Controller General of India (DCGI).
- •Thalassemia children receiving blood transfusions at Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh only.
- •Thalassemia children in the age group of 3-9 years.
排除标准
- •Blood donors not meeting eligibility criteria laid down by the DCGI.
- •Male donors between 31- 44 years of age.
- •Female blood donors.
- •Thalassemic children having - Clinical evidence of hypersplenism
- •- Presence of auto antibody
- •- Presence of unidentifiable alloantibodies
- •- Fever / acute infection
- •- Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF)
- •- If volume of transfusion required is <100 or >600ml.
