简要总结

This quasi-experimental study evaluates the effect of a health nanotechnology educational program on nursing interns' knowledge and self-perceived innovation readiness. Approximately 356 nursing interns at the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, will complete a pretest assessment before participating in an 8-week educational program covering nanotechnology fundamentals, applications in healthcare and nursing, and related innovation topics. A posttest will be administered two months after program completion to assess changes in knowledge and innovation readiness.

详细描述

The study follows a single-group pretest-posttest design conducted in four phases: Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the Assessment phase, baseline knowledge and innovation readiness are measured using two validated tools. In the Planning phase, an educational program is developed based on the pretest results and a review of relevant literature. In the Implementation phase, the program is delivered face-to-face over 8 weeks (24 sessions, 2 hours each, totaling 48 contact hours) using interactive lectures, case-based discussions, and other participatory teaching methods across six content areas related to health nanotechnology. In the Evaluation phase, a posttest is administered two months after program completion to assess changes in knowledge and innovation readiness compared to baseline.

Nanotechnology Education Program

Experimental

Nursing interns receiving the 8-week health nanotechnology educational program (24 sessions, 2 hours each) covering nanotechnology fundamentals and applications in healthcare and nursing.

干预措施: Health Nanotechnology Educational Program (Behavioral)

结局指标

主要结局

Change in Knowledge of Health Nanotechnology

时间窗: Baseline (pre-intervention) and two months after completion of the 8-week educational program

Change in nursing interns' knowledge scores related to health nanotechnology, measured using the Health Nanotechnology Knowledge Assessment Tool (NKAT), a 50-item tool with scores ranging from 0 to 50, where higher scores indicate better knowledge.

次要结局

  • Change in Innovation Readiness(Baseline (pre-intervention) and two months after completion of the 8-week educational program)
