简要总结
The aim of our study is to compare the clinical effect of 0.75% intrathecal isobaric ropivacaine with 0.5% intrathecal hyperbaric bupivacaine. Group 1 patients received 3 ml of hyperbaric bupivacaine and Group 2 patients received 2 ml of 0.75% isobaric ropivacaine. Both the groups were compared for onset of sensory block, onset and duration of motor block, highest level of sensory block. There was no significant diffrence between the two groups in mean time to onset of sensory block at T10, 5.79+/- 1.38 minute with ropivacaine and 5.68+/-1.57 minute with bupivacaine. Highest level of sensory block attained was T6 in both groups. From the study we concluded that 2ml 0.75% ropivacaine provided comparable quality of sensory block but had slower onset and significantly shorter duration compared to 3ml 0.5% bupivacaine
