简要总结
Malocclusion correction using anterior bite turbos is a common orthodontic practice. This prospective study aims to evaluate the periodontal changes and success rate associated with the placement of anterior bite turbos in the maxillary central incisor in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment by assessing plaque index, periodontal pocket depth, bleeding on probing, and gingival enlargement over time since their influence on periodontal health remains underexplored.
Population- Orthodontic patients aged 16–35 years requiring anterior bite turbos as part of their fixed orthodontic treatment
Intervention – Placement of anterior bite turbos on maxillary central incisors.
Comparator – Same group pre-treatment periodontal parameters (baseline) compared with follow-up measurements at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months.
Outcomes - Changes in plaque index, periodontal pocket depth, bleeding on probing, and gingival enlargement.
Time period- 12 months
