•i.Subjects willing to participate in this clinical trial.
•ii.Patients of either sex in the age group 18-70years.
•iii.Patients with Stage I Hypertension as per JNC-7 classificationi.e. Systolic blood pressure (SBP) in the range of 140-159 mm of Hg and/or Diastolic blood pressure (DBP) ranging between 90-99 mm of Hg will be included in the study.

•i.Patient not willing to sign the consent form.
•ii.Patients below 18 years and above 70 years of age.
•iii.Patientswith Stage II Hypertension.
•iv.Patients with Secondary Hypertension.
•v.Patients taking any antihypertensive medication or who have taken any antihypertensive medication within previous one month.
•vi.Patients having any serious illness like Coronary Artery Disease,Cerebrovascular disease, Insulin dependent Diabetes mellitus,Malignancy, etc.
•vii.Patients with significant ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter or other significant arrhythmia.
•viii.Patients with any Endocrinal disorders, Renaldisorder or Hepatic disorders.
•ix.Patients taking drugs like corticosteroids, oral contraceptives, NSAIDs etc. which may influence the outcome of the study.
•x.Patients who show any hypersensitivity towards the trial drugs.
•xi.Pregnant and Lactating mothers.
