- •continuing to have high tidal volume >8ml/kg during
- •pressure support of 6cm H2O

- •: VAS score >4 , RASS >+2,
- •Temperature >102degree F,
- •HCO3 <15,PaCO2 >50mmHg,P/F ratio <150, pregnancy and
- •lactation, contraindications to lumbar epidural catheter.
