- •1) Age more than 18years and less than 60 years
- •2) ASA I/II.
- •3) Patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy

- •Exclusion criteria for study participants â??
- •1) BMI more than 30.
- •2) Diabetic patients.
- •3) Hypertensive patients.
- •4) Patients receiving exogenous thyroid supplements or anti-thyroid medications.
- •5) Pregnant females.
- •6) ASA grade III and IV.
- •7) Major blood loss during surgery.
- •8) Missing data on study variables.
- •9) Patients refusing informed consent.
- •10) Patients receiving medications known to interfere with hormonal response to stress.
