Pigmentary disorders are common dermatological conditions that frequently affect individuals with skin of color, including Asian and Indian populations, often causing significant psychosocial distress

The visible nature of these lesions commonly impacts an individuals quality of life

The following study will compare the efficacy and safety profiles of both picosecond Nd:YAG and Q Switched Nd:YAG lasers for hyperpigmentary diorders in Indian skin type

This study would first of its kind especially in Indian population

入选标准

  • Patients above 18 years.
  • Presence of one or more hyperpigmentary disorders amenable to Nd:YAG laser therapy as per the literature.
  • No treatment taken for the condition (topical/ oral/ procedural) in the last 6 months.
  • Written informed consent to participate in the study and comply with the treatment schedule, follow-up appointments, and post-treatment care instructions.

排除标准

  • Unwillingness to consent to participate in the study.
  • Pregnancy and Lactation.
  • Increased Sensitivity to Light.
  • Scars or Florid inflammation of the tattooed skin or area immediately surrounding it.
  • Treatment taken for the pigmentary condition in the last 6 months.
  • Active Skin Conditions: No Active cutaneous infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal) in or near the treatment area.
  • No History of recurrent herpes simplex virus infection in the treatment area, unless prophylactic antiviral therapy is administered.
  • No Active disease with Koebnerization such as lichen planus pigmentosus, Riehl’s melanosis, etc.
  • Concomitant treatment for the pigmentary condition except sunscreen.
