- •Patients confirmed to have an ischemic stroke
- •Patients above 18 years of age
- •* Both men and women
- •Barthel Index 0-50 (severely disabled patients)
- •NIHSS score (The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Score) 5-20 on admission.
- •Non- thrombolysis patients
排除标准
- •Stroke mimics (A nonvascular disease that presents with stroke-like symptoms, often indistinguishable from an actual stroke)
- •Eg: brain tumors (gliomas, meningiomas, adenomas)
- •* Toxic/ metabolic disorders ( hypoglycemia, hypercalcemia, hyponatremia, uremia, hepatic encephalopathy, hyperthyroidism, thyroid storm)
- •* Infectious disorders (meningio encephalitis)
- •* Psychological disorders
- •* Migraines
- •* Seizures
- •* Demyelination disorders
- •Posterior circulation stroke
- •Hemorrhagic strokes
- •Patients without a caregiver, relative or a supporting family
