- •All neonates at risk of developing sepsis admitted for 48 hours and beyond at the NICU of Kasturba Medical college Manipal between the year 2021-2022.
- •At-risk neonates for Healthcare-associated infections include neonates with
- •1. Birth weight <2500 gms
- •2. Preterm neonates
- •3. Neonates on Mechanical ventilation
- •4. Neonates undergoing surgical intervention
排除标准
- •Neonates not born at Kasturba Hospital who have been given antibiotics prior to admission.
- •Neonates admitted with features of neonatal sepsis.
- •Neonates with Early-onset sepsis. ( < 72 hours of birth)
- •Neonates with sepsis associated with IEM
- •Neonates with Downâ??s syndrome and other genetic disorders which can present with altered lab parameters.
