•1)Patients who are willing to participate in trial(Virechana) and ready to give written consent.
•2)patients having complaints regarding Sthula Madhumeha mentioned in Ayurvedic Classics and fulfilling criteria of diagnosis more than 50%.
•3)patients who have not participated in any research project in last 6 months.
•4) Newly detected and Known case of DM type 2 having FBS more than 125mg/dl and PMS more than 200mg/dl.
•5)patient having BMI in between 23 to 35 will be selected.
•6) patients with controlled Hypertension in the range of 120/80 mm of Hg to 140/90 mm of Hg.
•7)HbA1c ranging from 6.5% to 9%.
•8) selection of patients will be done irrespective of sex,socioeconomically status and religion.

•1)Patients who are not willing to participate in trial(Virechana) and not ready to give written consent.
•2)patients having age below 30 and above 70 years.
•3)patients having both of fasting blood sugar level more than 225mg/dl and post meal blood sugar level more than 350mg/dl.
•4)patients having BMI less than 23 and above 35.
•5) pregnant women and lactating mothers.
•6)patients having Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus.
•7)patients having complications like vasculopathy, nephropathy, retinopathy or neuropathy.
•8)patients with uncontrolled Hypertension i.e. more than 150/100 mm of Hg.
•9) patients having other systemic complications.
