入选标准
- •1.ASA physical status l and ll patients
- •2.Scheduled to undergo elective surgical procedures requiring endotracheal tube and nasogastric tube
排除标准
- •1.ASA physical status lll and above
- •2.Emergency surgery
- •3.Indications for rapid sequence induction of anaesthesia (Full stomach, bowel obstruction, pregnancy, GERD, diabetic gastroparesis)
- •4.A history of difficult airway
- •5.BMI more than or equal to 35
- •6.Pathologies associated with difficulties in laryngoscopy or intubation
- •7.Anticipated difficult airway on clinical examination (Patil test less than 6.5cm, modified Mallampati test III and IV )
- •8.Patients with contraindication for cricoid pressure (suspected cricotracheal injury, active vomiting, unstable cervical spine injuries)
- •9.Patients undergoing head and neck surgery
