•The patients must meet the following conditions at the same time:
•1. Those who meet the above diagnostic criteria of insomnia in traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine and the five spirit classification criteria of insomnia in traditional Chinese medicine;
•2. According to the age of 20-80 years old;
•3. The score of Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS) is more than 6;
•4. Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQ) Index, PSQI) score more than 8 points;
•5. Patients who did not take hypnotic drugs or stopped taking drugs for more than 1 month;
•6. Patients who had informed consent to the content of the study and signed the informed consent;
•7. Patients with complete medical records.

•Any of the following cases were excluded:
•1. Insomnia caused by physical, organic diseases, mental disorders or mental genetic disorders;
•2. Insomnia caused by drinking and taking central stimulant drugs;
•3. Patients with serious diseases such as heart, brain, kidney and liver;
•4. Patients who used psychotropic drugs or did not stop using them for more than two weeks;
•5. Pregnant and lactating women;
•6. Long-term irregular sleep day and night
•7. Poor compliance of scientific research and incomplete data.
