- •1. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status Iââ?¬â??II
- •2. Patients undergoing elective surgery under GA
- •3. Endotracheal intubation as definitive airway
- •4. Duration of surgery ââ?°Â¤ 6 hours
- •5. Supine position
排除标准
- •1. Patients with a history of pre-operative sore throat, asthma, chronic obstructive
- •pulmonary disease, gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- •2. Oral or head and neck surgeries
- •3. Modified Mallampati Grade>II
- •4. Known allergies to study drugs
- •5. More than one attempt at intubation
- •6. Anticipated difficult airway
- •7. Traumatic intubation
- •8. Patients who are unable to sit or have cervical spine injury
- •9. Pregnancy
- •10. Morbid obesity (BMI >35 kg/m2)
