- •All mechanically ventilated patients with endotracheal tube aged >= 18 years who met the criteria for a spontaneous breathing trial

- •Age < 18 years
- •Presence of pneumothorax or ascites
- •Unilateral or bilateral diaphragmatic palsy
- •History of neuromuscular disease.
- •Patients who have undergone Tracheostomy
