A Study to assess the learning styles and study habits among undergraduate Nursing students from a selected Nursing College of Udupi Taluk, Karnataka.

It is crucial to thoroughly assess each student’s learning preferences and study methods when it comes to nursing education. By doing this, educators can modify their pedagogical approaches to fit the learning styles of each individual pupil, thereby encouraging more productive learning habits and raising academic achievement. In order to succeed in the nursing sector, this personalised approach is essential.

Objectives:  to assess the learning style and study habits and its relationship among the Undergraduate Nursing students.

Instruments: VARK Learning Styles Inventory encompasses the sensory modalities of Visual, Aural, Read/Write, and Kinesthetics’, conveniently represented by the acronym VARK.

Palsane & Sharma Study habit inventory to assess the study habits.

Research approach & design: The quantitative survey approach was deemed suitable for achieving the study objective. A descriptive cross- sectional survey will be used to assess the learning styles, and study habits among Nursing students studying in selected Nursing colleges of Udupi Taluk, Karnataka. Total 461 students will be selected for the study who meets the sampling criteria. Appropriate statistical approaches will be used for analyzing the data.
