- •3.Elective major abdominal surgery with expected duration of more than 4 hours

- •1.Absence of consent
- •2.History of any disabling central nervous or cerebrovascular disease
- •3.Hypersensitivity to opioids
- •4.Substance abuse
- •5.Treatment with opioids or any psychoactive medication
- •6.Deviation from the standard care of anaesthesia
- •7.Not extubating on table
