- •Patients were excluded if they had systemic or metabolic disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, previous major surgery on the affected joint (e.g. TKA, arthrotomy, operated tibial plateau fracture, proximal tibial osteotomy), peripheral vascular disease (ankle-brachial index < 0.40) or known stenosis of the lower extremity vessels, neurologic or psychiatric disease, or alcohol abuse.
